1977 westy. camper - no stove, or fridge.
Anyone know what path the 2 horn wires take from the actual horn?
I know one ends up at the steering column, and I am ASSUMING the other ends up at the fuse box. but what is their path?
Are they clumped with other wires usually or can i pull them thru?
I want to replace them. They are spliced and chewed up from years of who knows what. I am going to go out and try to follow them back, but a head start would help me spend less time out in the cold trying to trace the wires back while my hands creep closer and closer to frostbite.
Thanks!! |

Read the links. Saw the pics. They are helpful. I was hoping to find the actual PATH the wire take from the actual horn. But I will just have to go look and explore. Hopefully I can just pull some new wires through. I got the shiny new horn today, so i will be installing it soon.
Wish I lived down south or had a heated garage! I'd be working on my bus year round! :-) |

| The horn wires should be in the same little harness that goes to the master cylinder, IIRC the horn #15 is branched off the brake light supply (fuse #11) inside that harness which also does the warning light. And yes it ends at the fuse box and turns into some loose wires and a smaller pair to the warning light, the brown horn wire heads up and over and joins up to the column harness with a single connector behind the instrument cluster (connector 1g). |

| Mine hasn't worked for 10 years. Guess I should get on that. |
