Well went with a friend to pick up a 74 westy deluxe on thurs. Then Friday we went and picked up a new to me 78 westy, then Sat my old 73 westy was delivered back to the house! So now have 4 westies sitting in the yard, the colors man, the colors!! Great to be in a westy again, and again, and again!!!!

Luckily I live on a dead end street, and just about everybody on it has an unregistered car in the yard so... Only 2 houses do not, one I work on their kids cars, and the other is at an angle where they cannot see the upstart junkyard from their house! knock on simulated wood grain should be ok. Plus everything I own is registered and insured. Going to get plates on the 73 and 78 in about an hour.

And the neighbors see quite a bit. Have a VW yard sale and there is a yard full of vw's here and the neighbors come out for a car show and cookout. If your close enough will have another one in March so come on, swap meet with a few friends bringing their parts and I grill out so a free lunch as well....

hah this is like what me and my old roomate were doing a few years ago.. only we NO space and it was all on a hill

my buddy ended up actually painting his bug in the garage under our neighbors..

Now the question arrises as to which one to keep? Working on the 78 now, love the interior in it over the 73. Originally was going to pull the interior out of the 73 and put in a custom one I made. Now thinking of selling the 73 and rolling in the 78 and maybe putting the high roof on the 78.
Any thoughts from you guys?
