Does anyone have a picture of this headliner piping when its out of the bus? looking for an end profile shot...and sizes would be good too.

best i can do from here is when i was doing Neils 58. his original,if i recall correctly, was a doubled up of black rubber hose and the material was wrapped around both and sewn in the center. i just used wolfsburg wests later style rubber insert and wrapped and sewed it up.it was a challenge but it worked out fine.was a little tough getting it into place on the install also. maybe Neil can get a photo of his original rope.

OD measures .315inch or 8mm
Wall thickness is .059inch or 1.5mm...but this stuff is all dried up too
looks like regular buna rubber

Doug, am i right in saying there are two identical tubes? One stuffed into the gap and one showing. |

Yeah, that's right.
There are two tubes of the same size, rapped and stitched down the center. You can only see one of the tubes when they are installed and the other is hidden inside. I pulled out some of the 'inner' rubber and its was all smashed flat from being jammed on the inside.
