anyone out there ever swapped fuel inj to carbs on a 2000cc? looking for info on electrical after the swap .. fuel pump ..is there anything special i have to do to complete this swap??

Hey welcome. This swap is highly controversial for some members so you might get some pushback. Any particular reason you decided to swap?

I would suggest keeping the FI setup for later or selling the parts on here for others who are switching back to FI from carbs to use. Just try not to cut anything.

Oh and don't get scarred off to easily, this is a pretty well debated topic for your first post.

Where are you located in WA? You should put up some pics of your bus!

hooooooooooooooo boy!

What a first post.

You'll find more info on repairing the stock fuel injection than doing carb swaps. I'm a big advocate of the weber progressive but even I will admit that nothing runs sweeter than the stock efi. Parts are cheap so try to fix that if you still can.

On the othe hand if you need carb conversion advise we'll need more info on how far along you are to be able to point you the right direction.

Oh and which carb(s) are you trying to use?

I would suggest using this relay

to power up this 3.5 psi pump

http://www.cbperformance.com/catalog.asp?ProductID=577

and I would use this 1-4 psi regulator

Oh and just send me the complete FI system, fuel pump, and the engine wiring harness that you are removing. I will keep it in a box in my shop with your name on it.
