Looking through EIS and saw that they have the corner frame for 15/21/23 split windows buses. This has me thinking if I can add corner windows on my bay.
I would relocate the ducts, my only question is if the curvature of the split and bay windows are there are similar. I think it would be cool to create an 8 window bay.

Do a gallery search for Brazillian buses.
And be prepared to see your bus here:

You did notice that the hatch is narrower on corner window busses, right?
Take lots of pics when you do the job :P |

I understand hardcore enthusiasts would keep everything OG but as few know my bus is rust bucket. Poor thing is lucky I even took it in.
I look into what you said, thanks for the info. |

Yeah I have that in mind, the venting on bay SC/DC should do the trick. |

Is there such a thing as a hard core bay window bus enthusiast that keeps every thing stock as the day it was born?
Not from what Ive seen here
That said Ive seen some awsome true restorations done to some bays keeping as much stock stuff as possible. But there are some kick ass "upgrated" restos as well with well thought out improvements. But for the most part its all a rolling work in progress-do what you like cobbled together affair of things.
Some good, lots of bad.
Most historic features Ive read on the Bay window seem to always mention that when they crossed over from 67-68 they missed the mark on the Deluxe. With the new bay it was given props for the vast improvements but the new Deluxe lacked the charm of the 67 21 window. All those windows and the rag slider were gone forever. And it seems everyone missed them to a certain degree.
I for sure wouldnt mind seeing a bay window deluxe with the windows of a split deluxe. Why not? |

For the rear corners right-because as stated above with the rear hatch being widened you loose the rear corner windows? Not enough room?
Isnt a bay wider than a split? |

No, same hatch opening from 64-79 (the hinges changed a bit in 72), same body width right from day one. |

| nice idea, but it wont work out dimensionally. think before acting- it takes less energy. |

| Can't Or won't are strong words. If some one has the skills, time and funds I am sure it is possible. An easy way would be to find a 15 window in a scrap yard and graft the rear on to a bay. |

| I think picture posted on my first post shows that it is possible and doesn't look like shit. I'll take some dimensions to see if there is a way they can fit. If I would have to change the rear hatch I think that would be too much work. |

Of course you would have the change the rear hatch. You would have to re-engineer the entire rear end of the vehicle. The picture you posted is a Brazilian Bay. Search the forum and you'll find plenty of pics of them, look at the rear shots. Those Buses use the same hatch that was discontinued on the Split Windows in 1962. It's not gonna work, you can tell that by just looking at it. |

Yeah....easy.
you are right grafting would be eaiser than finding.
Also I don't know how it would look because the bay side rear windows are slanted at the rear as where the splits were vertical.
it would be a sweet mod if u could pull it off. |
