| I doubt it, it it could restrict the flow of oil and cause starvation problems. |

| What kind of full flow? Drilled and tapped? In-out pump? Relief adaptor? |

This just happened to me. I noticed that the oil pressure was lower than it should have been at start... maybe 30 instead of 60 when cold and the pressure didn't follow the throttle. The oil filter bulged out but didn't explode and it did finally leak some after a time before I found the cause. I did not however experience any oil leaks from the main seal, etc. On the filter the oil in line is the one on the side and the oil out is the center fitting.

| yeah just bought a breather kit and am going to install fittings to the valve covers as well as the oil filler just not really sure why the oil was coming out of everywhere, and this was the second motor that did the same thing |

I don't think letting the case breath will help the relave the oil pressure from the pump.
busdaddy asked a good question "What kind of full flow? Drilled and tapped? In-out pump? Relief adaptor?"
if your using a maxi pump I had one that ballooned the filter, I changed the filter and never had an issue with it after that. |

Don't see how any external filter and incorrect plumbing would have anything to do with engine leaks. Unless with over pressure the pump cover or full flow fittings might seep. You didn't answer Bus Daddys important question.
And you didn't say where the engine leaks are. Probably 4 reasons why there would be various leaks. 1. Your stock breather fillers breather line is plugged. 2. A new, bad or extremely worn engine with a lot of blowby. 3. Whoever built the engine didn't know how to seal an engine. 4. Engine has run overly hot and fryed the various seals.
No need for a breather kit on a stock or stockish engine. So what isn't stock and why are you going to put on a breather kit? And why question reversed filter hoses? All the filter mounts I've seen have arrows on the ports. |

Same here with the maxi pump but I blame the cold for that ( below 20F 10W40 oil) so I went to a heavy duty filter and no more problem. |
