If those AMC heads are already tapped for the TS2 then no, all plug and play, you will have to block the warm air duct for the carb air in the front tin but that's just a flat piece of sheet metal.

Hmm....if that's the case...does anyone have a lead on someone who remakes the air intake mount?

Hey there, I did this and I'm pleased with it so far, although I'm still mid-project so I haven't field tested it. I have a 73, and we converted to a 78? 2.0 FI system. We didn't make an air intake mount but pilfered one from a donor bus.

I did need a new gas tank, an improved fuel pump and fuel pump mount. Also needed a new hole for an ECU, but it was minimal. Finally, it requires new wiring harness. My engine mech did all the work or else I'd have more for you.

Good luck!

If I have the section of the harness that plugs into the FI components, do you know if I need more than that? How does it tie into the rest of the system?

Yes! There is a seperate harness that goes from the starter to the double relay and fuel pump.

OK great, thanks 1977. I'll see if I can still get it from the guy I bought the engine/FI setup from.
