Ok trying to find a locking gas cap what gives.I have tried kragen and auto zone don't fit.My local ve shop doesn't carry it.Where do i find one it's a big filler any help?

Ummmmmm..... those are for 74+ busses, the early outer tab large cap does show up in the classifieds ocassionally though, keep watching. Don't expect to find one at the FLAPS though, maybe the 74+ style but not the early ones.

Stant Corp. makes and sells locking gas caps for 71-72 type 2's for $12.95 + shipping.

2 different part numbers from 2 different suppliers in Calif.

www.advanceautoparts.com has it listed as 11563 (under locking gas caps)

Kragens auto parts in nor cali has them also.

for my '69 from Cip1, but they are out of stock periodically
other suppliers have them also
are all expensive

If you find one get in the habit of leaving your keys in the cap when you are filling up. I left my cap on the pump with the keys in my pocket. Got distracted by another "pumpee", finished filling up, jumped in the Bus, drove off and realized my cap was still back at the station. By the time I got there it was gone.
