My images hosted on Flickr don't show up in my post. I use the "[img] ..... [/img]" buttons with the photo url but nada. Any advice? I just signed up thinking Flickr would be easy but it seems I'm missing something.
(ya, this will likely get moved, but thought I'd try you guys first.) |

I'm a Flickr user, and I've had no trouble posting the few pictures I've posted from there. :)

Flickr has a number of different levels. Once you get down to viewing an individual photo you might be at an URL like this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/scottmcw/3982141201/in/set-72157622518427416/
What I've found works is to click the "All Sizes" button. Then choose the size you want to post. I find Medium or Large work best. Next, right click on the actual image. Select "Copy image URL".
Now, come back here and click the "Img" button. Once you do that you'll see "[img]". Next, paste your URL here with ctrl-V or right click > Paste. You should see the URL such as http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3491/3982141201_10e83fc701.jpg. Finally, hit the "Img" button again and you'll see "[/img]" at the end.
The final result will look like Code: [img]http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3491/3982141201_10e83fc701.jpg[/img] in the post.
And once you post it'll look like
And then folks will let you know that Flickr is blocked at their work. :( |
