I would think 2:
1 for the ignition.
1 for the Drivers door, cargo door, and engine lid
Is this correct? I have heard others say the cargo doors had their own key but that seem silly. |

| that's what mine has, but it's a truck 8) I think you are correct though, one ignition key and the other key for all the doors. |

Yes*.
Key 2: Early BD should have the 'Volcano' key, late BD should have the 'Lotus Leaf' key*. the 'Cutout VW' key came with replacement handles*.

Yes, 2.
In my opinion, anyone that thinks the cargo door had its own key could have a replacement cargo door handle, especially if it has a VW cut-out key. |
