hey guys

I need to fix this little guy, it tends to jam and one of these days I'm sure its going to wear and slip through...whats the correct name for this part?

what have you used to replace this little circlip ring thing?

thanks for tips!

would one of these work? anyone know what this ring is called?

I know this is a dumb question, but if anyone could confirm?

thanks

I don't know the official name for that style of clip but I've replaced it by snipping out a section of coil spring in the past, find one that's close to the right diameter and thickness.

it's an 8mm DIN 7993A external snap ring. it's the one on the lower right in the pic above.
clips with eyelets won't work. the 7993A snap ring will fit on the shaft, and then the assembly slides down into the pivot, "capturing" the snap ring. the ring seats on a surface inside the pivot pin, which is what pulls the linkage when you depress the accelerator pedal.
looks like the groove edge on the shaft might be a little worn, you might want to clean it up before putting a new ring on it, otherwise the ring might slip off.
