Hey are any of you guys running a visor setup like these?? I saw a couple pics an I really like them. But I am cheap so right now I dont want to shell out 300-500 bucks right now. So has anyone out there made a mesh visor that clamps?? At work we have a machine shop an welding shop with some pretty talented guys working in it. I would just need a pattern or some good pics for ideas.
Any help out there??? |

| Sorry I cant post pics to this site. But they are a mesh style sun visor that clamps onto the side of the windshield an goes across the windshield on the outside. I have seen some with the tinted plastic lenses but I saw one made out of black mesh that looked really nice. I will look again for the pic. |

You could make a cardboard template and have your friends at the shop fine tune it

| Now that is cool! I know that seanboy is going to make his, but where does the one in the last picture come from? I really like the mesh effect. |

Thanks for the link. They don't have a shipping price quoted but they want you to contact them for one. I am still waiting for a reply. |

Here is their reply:
Quote: "G/Day. I dont send overseas but autocables.com.au will send my visors there. Regards Brian"
I contacted autocables.com.au about shipping:
Quote: "Hi, postage to the U.S. will be $75.00 Aust. Cheers, Joe"
The visors cost AUD$202.51=USD$185 on that site http://autocables.com.au/ (I think that they should deduct the local VAT tax but Joe didn't say that) plus the shipping AUD$75=USD$68. So you can have this on your bug for a little over 250 bucks! :D The internet is awesome!!! |
