So i picked this up for a pretty good deal and I was curious if somebody could tell me if this is a re-pop or not. Any info would be appreciated :D

| Thats not a repop. Nobody remakes the coach wheels. |

| Should be splined for the steering shaft. If it doesnt have the boss on the back then youll have to dig through the classifieds for one. I have two of those wheels in my cars and both just bolted right up. |

I have to smile as your friends tease you about what you paid for that wheel. I bought one of those new in June 1966 when I bought my then new 1966 Java green sunroof bug at Truman motors in El Cajon. I was career Navy and stationed at NAS Miramar at the time.
The wheel was $42.00 plus some tax. By the way it slips right on,
no sweat. Over the last 44 years it's faded a bit from the sun, aside from that its held up well. By the way when I put mine on I took the center "horn" button off and saved it. Still have it put away. I used the original VW button which also fits. I thought it looked better. Been rolling with that ever since.
Have fun! |

Like it also :-)
I was lucky to buy it NOS few years ago so I don't have the usual decoloration or the crack at 12'

Sorry, I'm using a applet to allow people to zoom on the picture so I can't post it here
