Now that I'm looking it up, I'm finding new Hobart Handler 125 for $340. Will the 125 have enough power for what I want to do, or is a 140 a better bet? Thanks again guys.

Make sure you get the shielding gas. Flux core wire is even hard for the pro's to use. I have to get a buddy that is a certified welder to come over every time I want something welded with the mig.
I am looking at getting on the bottle....lol

I'm definitely getting the shielding gas, trust me i am going to need all the help I can get.....I just don't know if the 125 would be powerful enough for this kind of work, or if I should go with the 140?

Good, luck. You'll need it. Ghias, especially verts, are very difficult to restore. They are very rewarding when finished though.

Again, good luck. Take your time. Don't be in a hurry, or you'll ruin something. Ask me how I know.

Mine is a Hobart 135 and is plenty powerful enough. The 125 (?)
should be OK, but for sure the 140 will be.

Just an update on what I picked up.

Brand new off of craigslist, $400. I think its a good deal. I wasn't going to go with 220V, but to get more then I need for what I was oging to spend on a 140 aint bad. All I need to do is run a 220 line into my garage and im set.

Does it take the shielding gas setup? Its really hard to weld sheetmetal without the gas.

yes, it comes ready for MIG welding, I just need the tank and gas. But it has the regulator and comes with a spool of the filler metal also.
