I know what you mean!
We went for a long ride today in our..... ahem..... Pontiac to South Jersey. IT was nice to see green grass and an almost complete lack of snow!
54 degrees and sunny, the Ocean Front was mobbed with people, it wasn't a unique idea at all!
Arrived home before dark, driveway still lined with snow piles as high as the hood.....heavy sigh......it's coming though!!

| Snowed a foot here at my house yesterday, broke my back shoveling a foot of heavy wet snow just so my wife could pull out of the driveway :x |

It was beautiful here today. I was able to install a new master cylinder and go for a nice test drive. I was even able to rinse the dust off.
Of course the down side is that I almost lost my drivers side rear quarter window. The latch broke and the window nearly fell out. Does anybody know where I can find a new latch? |

| Hmmmm....I now know why this native Californian is still a native Californian. Hey it's expensive to live here, taxes are through the roof, the state is bankrupt, we have "The Running Man" running the state... but hey...you can't beat the weather... 8) :P :D |

Those of you from the Great White North probably don't
want to hear somebody from Floriduh complain, but this
has been the coldest winter I can remember since moving
here in 1971. No snow, sure, but cold enough many days
to snow if the conditions were right.
This season we talk about oncoming warm fronts rather than
the occassional cold front in years past.
As for driving the 'vert this winter, much less this year but
thankfully the heating system works really well. VW Shows
are on our schedule now down here and we're driving to as
many as possible. Only thunderstorms will stop us. :D |

Someone needs to let Al Gore know. Global warming :?: Hmmm... It must be all of our outdated, gross polluting, vapor emitting VW's causing the global weather patterns to change. Next thing we will all be told we can only drive (vintage) VW's on the third Wednesday of every month... :(  |

A few altered records by two or three of 1000's of scientists do not disprove a theory.
Be it true or not, things are changing.
Fact, the glaciers and poles are melting, verified by satellite photos over time.
Fact, the great theory of rising oceans isn't happening to any large degree so where is the water?
Most likely in the atmosphere changing the entire "normal" weather patterns we've become used to.
Not defending Gore, not saying Global Warming caused my Man is true, just saying that things ARE changing.
You need to look farther away from home than your immediate 400 mile radius and you will see it.
Funny Global Warming, everybody thinks t shirts and shorts. In actually in many areas the opposite is coming true, hence the new term, Global Change.

Not to get off on a tangent but...
The Earth has heated and cooled since the beginning of time. i.e various iceages etc. I don't mean to sound insensitive. I'm sure we (humans) have done some damage but maybe Al Gore should only fly around in his gross polluting private jet on the 3rd Wednesday of every month...He really should put his money where his mouth is and lead by example
Now...back to the weather... :D Sunny and absolutely beautiful here today.... :D |

I think that is what I was trying to say, I don't buy it 100% but I do feel there is truth to it and we should be aware. Things are changing, I think, by a combination of Mankind and the forces of Nature/God whatever you wish to call it. Time Marches on!

I was in Miami last week for business and it was chilly. People that lived there were complaining of the cold, it was crazy. We stayed at a really cool resort called "The Blue" and people were golfing with some huge coats. LOL . El Paso TX was 72 today and a great day to cruise, sunny with no wind. Too bad my master cylinder leaked out all the brake fluid. damn. |

| Weather here was awesome as well. I took my ghia out for our longest drive to date (about 35 miles) since I got her. Tomorrow looks like more of the same, but rain the rest of the week. By far the most fun I've had driving a car. |
