I lived out west for years, a two hour drive ISN'T very far away. Only to Easterners is two hours far.
Dave
Two hours... in an ACVW...? That's a good start to a cruise!
Actually, Richmond to Roanoke wouldn't be a bad "long drive on a sunny day", but not if your car was acting up. |

Thanks for all of the kind words you guys, it means a lot to me and trust me, if I break down on the side of the road and it's something I can't fix with my brain, tool boxes and manuals, I will be here screaming for some help hahaha
Anway, yeah it was time to try to leave Ridgecrest again. Last time I made it up to Oregon but got sucked back here cause of family stuff. But this time I'm determined to make something of it. My roomate and I have revised our budget, time frame, and route. I was planning on going up through Colorado but then the rockslide happened. So we're going the I-40 route. Staying in motels for 2 nights instead of camping cause it's gonna be too cold. I'm just not as gangster as I used to be in my younger years
An old VW friend of mine is going to let us stay with him fora few weeks until we can get a little place of our own. I can't wait to get out there and actually see what allhe's got as far as old VW's goes..
I'm so excited about this trip. My roomie is nervous and worries about a lot of things, but not me. I'm so ready to get the hell out of here hahaha |

The I-70 is now open through the Glenwood Canyon. One lane in both directions. Its a very beautiful drive through the canyon and over the passes into denver. The weather has been warmer and the passes have been OK. Though this time of year anything can happen. Have a safe journey. |

| Oh dear... sounds like I should be scared or something lol I haven't even started packing my car yet... I've got so much to do still. Once I get out there I'll be looking for (1) a good jazz place, (2) good pizza, (3) good bbq, (4) a nice hole in the wall pub, (5) a gay club for my roomate, (6) and finally a vw parts house. All near chesterfield. |
