View original topic: Plastic insulator for horn brush assy

Does any one know of a source for the plastic insulator that fits into the tubular boss welded onto the side of the steering column tube where the horn brush assy is installed? Any experience with fabricating a substitute? I broke mine when prepping the column for paint. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

That part looks like a more modern replacement. It will work but the Wolfsburg West part looks a lot more authentic.

i think he has the brush/contact piece and is just looking for the plastic shims on either side of it.

i don't know if they sell new ones, worse case i would have a machine shop turn one out for me.

I was wondering what that thing was on my steering column. My horn does not work and I am guessing cause nothing is hooked up to this!
