| I've got a question I figure you split window gurus would have an answer to. I need to remove the e-brake handle on a 54 oval. I've removed the snap ring and pivot pin, ratchet cam and button/rod assy. the trans is out on vacation in Ca. being massaged so the brake cables are not attached at the rear The handle is still attached to something internally that I assume must be connected to the rod that goes to the front of the frame tunnel. If I remove the front frame tunnel cover is it just a matter of slacking or disconnecting the cables or is there more involved. Any one been through this or have a diagram of the mechanism? Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks, Mike |

| Once you remove the front inspection cover at the pan head, you'll see you must un-do 2 10mm nuts (e-brake cables),(2) 10mm bolts & a cotter pin. Once all 5 fasteners are removed, the spring tension on the e-brake rod will be released. You should now be able to remove the handle. |
