Okay im 16 and for my first car i wanted a baja and after a year of searching i found a decent looking one, i knew it would take alot of work to build it the way i want it . i weld at school and i am learning the trade and i have become very good at it so here is my project at first....................
the engine cradle was just sitting on there in this one.
this is the wireing that the guy before me cut up and hillbilly riged.

today i grinded off the paint in the back and mounted the cage it get a idea .....

Great starter! wihile you see that much of the tranny, get straps across the top of them. You will need it.
The cage looks good and professional, props man! |

| i have the straps and mount the guy before me cut a chunk out of it today im taking it to welding class and fixing it so that the cage can mount to it |

| there is alot ..ALOT of rust in and on the car thats the only bad part. i enjoy it because you create something with your hands and say you made it.. |

| And there are a couple pieces of rear engine tin missing. Also the if you put no skip plate on it, at least put the lower engine tins on to help protect the push rod tubes. |

Congrat on the Baja.
I'm suprised no one mentioned the plastic fuel filter bumpin uglies with the intake manifold less than six inches from the exhaust. :shock: |

| i have noticed the some of those things i still have alot of work to do i wad focusing on making the body great , getting rid of all the rust then the engine then eletrical. |

I agree, but he is 16 and the GIRLS :wink: love a clean machine. A baja is about the coolest thing for a 16 year old :D |

| the engine needs work i want to add braided lines to it and clean it up alot i have wireing to do and body work i want to make it reliable to but i want it to look bad ass going down ther road because there and no vw`s around her on the road so i getalot of looks so i want them to be good looks |

| You have to watch out for grinders, some times they get hungry. I had one kick back on me at work and almost removed the family jewels. Thank God it got caught in my jeans and twisted out of my hand. I hope you're OK! You're doing some good work. |
