| Restoring the horn on my zwitter. Should the face be painted black or plated (galvanized)? I can't find a trace of paint so I am assuming plated. Thanks |

Hellas were black also. What is the face like? Do you have a pic? I ask because there were some odd Hella face styles that I am not sure were ever used on VWs. |

After further investigation I don't think this is the correct horn but it came with the car so I will keep it, I believe it should have screw on terminals
I don't know, it's going to be painful to paint it black it looks so pretty plated. (I did a little home plating just for giggles).

| That is a much newer horn. I believe the one you want even if it didn't have screw terminals would have a grill on the face instead of the holes. |
