Howdy all,

I propose a casual meet-and-greet at Boomer's Drive In on Samish Way in Bellingham; 6PM on Saturday April 3.

Any takers?

Would love to get together but the 3rd won't work for me. I'll be out of the country on a short trip to Scotland from March 31 to April 5. Could this happen the following weekend?

Hey, thanks for getting a club together. I was part of a vintage VW club back in California, but haven't found anything since I moved up here last year. The 3rd works for me but so does any weekend after that (just not 3/17-3/30 because that's spring break). You couldn't have picked a better location than boomers!! I live directly across the street. I could just walk over, but then you wouldn't be able to check out my Beetle :) I'll mark my calendar, but if there is a date change, then be sure to e-mail me because I don't check my PMs on here all to frequently.

My buddy just took back his motor from my car, so currently I have no motor... if I get one in before the 3rd though, I'm in.

I may have a motor and trans for sale soon.. I am buying a package deal, and it comes with an engine I wont need. I might keep it for the kid to take apart and rebuild, but I would consider selling it..

That is the week of Spring break from school for my wife and our youngest son so on the third we will be out of town and the next weekend is a spring scrimmage for WSU football on Moms Weekend, and since our oldest son is on the team that will not work for me either. I would be very happy to try after that so if I miss the first one, I'll make the second! Also consider Grants Burgers in Ferndale for a Saturday event.

Hey, didn't Grant's get bulldozed? There is a whole lotta new stuff on that side of main st in Ferdale now....

I will try to make this- need to get my bus movin again after a long winter nap. Battery is really old, so I am hoping that is all she needs...

But, if not this time, then next.

They have set up shop in the big house at Main and Douglas, they share space with the store. Limited menu, cash only, no substitutions. Still great food! :D

Well, this is a little like herding cats...

I think I'd like to keep the Boomer's date where it is, but I'd be open to a "Beer Summit" for those who can't make that one. How about Bob's Burgers and Brew in Ferndale, 6pm on Saturday, March 27? First pitcher's on me...

Incidently, by my count we have between 5-7 people for the Boomer's thing now.

Shoot! I just realized that 6pm will be pretty tough for me..

Eariler would be better for me. Anytime between 12noon and 5pm ish..

Just putting that out there. I think I can still make it for like 30min or so. It would be nice to have more time to meet everyone and check out cars.

It will be fun to meet some local VW fans!

Blarneyman, i wish you could make it! Maybe this will be the first of many get togethers..

I think I can make the Saturday 27th get together. But I'll have to drive my mini because the bug and Ghia aren't running right now.
