I think they are called Barnnabees....

diamondgrey Wed Mar 17, 2010 10:30 am

found this for sale today and i was surprised they made a "barndoor" bus with an actual rear hatch and a small engine lid! supposed to be a 55.

Lowdown Dirty Rat Wed Mar 17, 2010 10:37 am

That is a barndoor not a 'barnabe'
latter ambulance barndoor had a small pickup engine lid and large rear hatch like this.

Real barndoors have 8 engine vents while later buses have more. I have yet to see a Barnnabe where they have taken the time to work out this detail.

i figured it would be a real barndoor and not a fake considering it looks so all original!

did that finally make them figure out that there was a way to have some sort of rear hatch instead of a humungous engine lid? :)

Double cabs came with fewer. The blue triple cab wasn't changed.
