I have a 1954 oval what colour should the hood crest be ? mines blue sky green grass will put a pic up when my camera decides to work...can I change this to any colour or will it effect its originality, I was thinking about one which is just black and silver to go with the look of my bug. can anyone show me pics of different hood crests or info ..thanks

The Black & Silver you're describing was used on 1961-63 Beetles |

Actually Glenn, weren't the 1960 Beetles the first ones to come with the less colorful hood crest badge? |
