I found this oval today, may have to buy it if the price is right. It's the same story you've heard a million times, old guy finally decides to sale the 30 cars he's had for years. I haven't talked with him, but he wouldn't discuss prices over the phone with a family friend who called him today. My dad and the friend are going to look at the collection tomorrow. I'm unable to go tomorrow, but I'll make the drive asap. This is the only vw in the collection of cars for sale.

If the vw sickness overtakes me (again) this will be #3 in less than a year. To think I bought my first vw 11 months ago

Fuscavw sold me my 63 bug and is my hero when it comes to saving old vw's. Dave's vw sickness is much more advanced than mine, but my sickness is getting worse!

Just talked with dad, $2000.00 for 57 also has a 52 for $2000.00. The old guy says money talks, so I'm headed back next week with cash. I can't afford both, so anyone want one? I'll take pictures and post next week. I promise the finders fee will be small.

I asked my dad about a hundred questions about the 52 today. I think I confused him with all my questions about split windows, type of turn signals, etc. My dad and his friend were looking at the fords and only briefly looked at the vw's for me. I hope this car is a 52, but I don't want to get too excited until I see her in person.

How bout I just give you both? Seriously, if the 52 exist, I know it's a once in a lifetime find. The oval is real and it will make a nice consolation prize if the 52 isn't.

The cars are too far away to just head over before/after work. I simply don't have time for the trip until Thursday. Having to wait is killing me. The cash,tow bar and tires have been in the truck for days...

Tried, no dice...boss just doesn't understand my disease. I'll repeat the cars are not close by and the old guy is a little crazy, about when I can come over, how many people I can bring, how many days notice he needs, etc. If you've ever dealt with one of these old car hoarders you'd understand. If I come on the wrong day without notice, the cars won't be for sale...or the price will suddenly go way up. Anyone who's dealt with one of these guys, please back me up.

i hate those type of people took me over 2 years to get my 58 15 window,now the owner will let me walk the property to see anything but is never more than 10 ft from me. good luck, also if you need help unloading that 52, ive got a 4000 sq ft garage. :P

Finally set a Thursday 10 a.m. appointment with him. I have to arrive on time with cash, trailer,and chainsaw, so I can remove my treasure before he changes his mind.
