Ok, Cool. I thought there was something funky going on with model years and year of manufacture but wasn't sure when it took place. Like, when was the switch to Aug 1st being when the first of the new model years came out. |

The general thought is that the model years began in August, 1955 for the 1956 model year, making 1955 a short year.
There is some debate about this however (exact month, even for different years)
Since you are pretty far after August, 1961 is safe to report 1961 regardless of those arguments, IMHO. |
