I had a 6" over BJ beam built (I know I got lazy and had someone build it for me, should have done it myself) anyway they installed the adjusters so that there lifted even at the lowest setting way to much for a light weight sand rail.
Would it be OK to remove the small/half spring plates?

Thanks

don't know if it is OK or not but my friend at work just pulled apart his front end and he was missing one leaf from each pack. But his was link pin, also on a rail.

i've heard of and actually done this on a bus. you take out your springs, cut a couple inches out of one of them so you just have the two ends then rubberband the shit out of the one that goes to the inner set screw, slide it in and tighten it down , then use the other end on the outer screw. this way your loosing one spring, but still getting full bite on your set screws and don't have to worry bout them coming loose or wearing something out. when we did that on a bus it dropped a few inches, and it should be softer
