1. would the front wheels fit on the rear with no trouble/ whats the reason for running the different rears?
2. do you notice any loss in power having the engine move the larger tires.
3. is that stock suspension? beam not turned and rear shocks not reindexed?

thanks

1. Yes, the fronts fit on the rear. Baja's need big tires, it's the law. I have 30" tires front and rear and the car sits level. The skinny tires are easy on the stock front suspension & brakes and easy to steer.
2. Yes. With a stock 1600dp and a stock T1 trans it's a pooch, but it still gets around. I hit 70-75 freeway speeds without much effort, but it takes time to get there.
3. Nope. 1/4" cut and turn, reindexed rear about 1/4" off the stock stops. Everything else is stock.

I blew a rear tire once and had to use my stock spare. I moved the 30" skinny front to the rear so I wouldn't blow my trans. Skinny tires look silly on the back of a baja...

yes i agree, the skinny does look silly on the rear. What size rim and offset is on the rear?

Im working on researching the cutting and turning of the beam so ill spare questions on that. Although mine is a 68 with a swing axle so i wonder how much the 1/4" reindexed rear bars would effect the camber...

They are 7" wide wheels. Something like 4" backspace. I found a pair of Jackmans on Craigslist and threw them on. They tuck under the fender really well without rubbing.

I've never messed with a swing, but I hear you can reindex them about 1 spline before the camber gets bad. That will get you about 2.25" of lift.

In short, would those tires work on the car without the cut and turned beam and reindexed rear?

The picture above is a 30" tire against the stops and it doesn't rub. If your fender allows for it, it will fit.

30" front tire on a stock beam, probably not.
