Can’t find a replacement black crab-claw type seat belt buckle (only) for a ‘71 Ghia. The release mechanism has failed ….. Were crab-claw types used in other years? Did Bugs/Buses use the similar buckle? Been looking in Classifieds for months.

Thanks for the reply. Yep, I think mine is different than those in the classified, so I'll send 'em a picture and hope they can match it.

| The claw type belts didn't work in my 72 so I reckoned it was an unreliable design anyway so I bought a set of more modern retractables with a modern type latch. |

| They look just like the ones that were in my '70, too. I went ahead and replaced them with the retracting units with shoulder straps. |
