First fire, that is! :lol:
The third iteration of my 1776 lives!
I do believe the carb need to be cleaned. They've been sitting in a box since last spring and tonight there was a lot of spitting and other unruly behaviour.
I also have a leak in the area of the oil lines. Pretty good one too. You can see the puddle after about 5 minutes of running. So the shroud has to come off again.
But first fire always feels good. 8)

Jeezuzz man! Dont go around yelling 'Fire!' like that... I was alternately preparing to be really bummed for you and excited to see some great burning-on-the-side-of-the-road pics.

Man ... you young guys should check out Rowen and Martin's Laugh-In. Probably get it from Netflix. Flip Wilson, Smothers Brothers, and a very hot Goldie Hawn.
Funniest stuff since the Carol Burnett show.

| nice!! there is nothing that makes you happier then fire up an engine for the first time. i remember when i fired my engine for the first time. the only way we kept it running was to sit there with two cans of ether and gasoline. the po of the engine decided he wanted to take the fuel pump pushrod :roll: |
