What resources, books, websites, etc are a must have for someone completely new to VWs? I purchased a rail with a '74 powerplant & beam.

This is a road only rail which I want to handle and be quick.

TIA

The 2 manuals that have served me through the years are "How to keep your volkswagon alive for the complete idiot" and the original Bentley manuals. Should be good for the mechanicals on your rail.

Those are the 2 books I got and they have served me well so far. I just got my first beetle last October.

Ditto. I don't actually I have a copy of the Idiot book (written by John Muir, if you want to find it), but I borrowed it from the library and it was quite helpful. I plan on getting a copy at some point. I do have the Bentley manual. It's very helpful as well. There are even some things in there that I didn't really expect to be there.

And yeah, this forum is also a really great resource. You can get just about any question answered here.

Congrats on buying your VW btw :)
