View original topic: What's with Pomona Swap Meet?

We went to the recent (March) swap meet at the Pamona Fairplex. There was practically nothing in the VW section. It has been declining for the past few years, but this year, the offerings fell off a cliff. What's happening? Is the March meet just the low point and other months are better? If so, which is the best month for VW stuff at Pamona?

Maybe most of them were at the Pomona meet, not the Pamona meet?
;-)

I've only been there once, so I can't judge the size. Odd, though, because I've seen more ACVWS in the last year than before; not sure if it's the economy or just the ebb and flow of VW enthusiasm with the public.

You must have arrived too late. All the early birds get in at the crack of dawn and clean out the place then bounce. Got to love "Pamona"

This past Pomona swap was affected by Drag Day the following weekend. I've been selling at Pomona for the past 3 years and attending for well over 10. It definitely has dwindled. Some of the negative impact to swaps is due to websites such as this. Anyway, don't let one bad outting spoil it for you. FunkFlex61 is right, the BEST deals are had/made early. Actually, as vendors, we did very well that day. It seems that when the weather is not so good, only the hardcore buyers show up. See you next time!
