Did a search for this and couldn't find anything and I'm sure I'm not the first to face this but...

...anyone know how the SEKURIT logo and number was put on the glass? A bit anal I know (well ok, very anal  ) but I'm in the process of having a new windscreen made for my Cabrio and I want the SEKURIT logo and number on the new glass...

...so were they etched or sand blasted? :?

Anyone been there, done this already?

Try the Beetle forum for your answer. Someone about a year and a half ago approached the same subject and a debate of copyright laws came up. I only mention the debate so to suggest you might want to search with the words 'sekurit' and 'copyright' to find the thread.

Contact Jerry Heldt with the Karmann Ghia Company of Australia. I just bought a repro pair of early Ghia cabrio door glass and he had the Sekurit logo on the glass. I imagine he either had it sand blasted or used acid to etch it, either way he can let you know how he had it done.

Like I said earlier... I think originally they were sandblasted but people are doing the acid etch and it comes out very nice.
