Installed my rebuilt 002 trans. and it is hard to get into first and second gear. (It goes into gear, just not very smooth) Third, fourth, and reverse no problem. I have the Jamar shifter.
Any suggestions? |

Have you tried adjusting the base plate of the shifter at all? You might try moving it just barely to the left so you can get the shifter to go a bit further that way when putting into gear...
