Yup, I sold my first car, a 72 standard. I loved that car. I still kick myself and am on a relentless search for it still.

Can one of your family members buy it from you with the stipulation you buy it back after college?

after reading everything you guys have said and talking it over with my parents on all the ideas of keeping it at my house while i move away, I have decided to do nothing like that but rather keep the car and drive it for ever.

I was thinking about what i want in a new car... and everything I already have is in my bug ( except a Heater) so I think i'm going o take the money I have and fix the little things i don't like and keep my baby.

IM going to build a 2180cc for more power,
tint the windows
dyno mat it for sound and fix the paint chips. :)

thanks to everyone for there input Probably saved me from a big mistake.

Now that's the right thing to do!!!

If you want better MPG, then ditch the dual carbs and go with a mild single. Put heater boxes on it for the winter months.

Great decision!! Proud of you man!
