This is new to us, but not new to the samba. We just picked it up this weekend for my wife. She loves it! This is my first experience with a squareback, I'm a bus guy.

Things I'll be researching in the immediate future: Haven't even searched yet.

- random stuttering, possible fi issue? feels identical to when my bay window had a badly warn track in the AFM. I don't even have a chilton yet, so I have no idea what's under the engine lid.

-3 point harnesses in the rear. purists can just chill, at least it is being driven daily. cursory looks have not revealed any bolt holes to fasten the upper support in the back. I've seen some pre tapped pieces for cheap that could just be welded in. Looks like best route so far.

--- ugh, forgot I have upload images elsewhere... I'll do that later.

Do not even bother with a Chilton. Get a Robert Bentley. The Chilton will show you nothing on the FI. And if you can, get an early Bentley. It will have color wiring diagrams, not black and white.

Someone else here lately put shoulder harness in there late model car. The mounts are under the head liner on the C pillar. Feel for them.

Just went and looked, I have bently manuals for the busses. That's what I want to find. I'll check for the holes, that would make life much better and get this thing into daily operation.

Looks like a really nice survivor. 8) Are you and your wife attending the Type 3 Invasion this June? It's being held in Carthage this year.
