I live in Cuyahoga Falls , is there anyone in the area that is willing to help me replace my pushrod tube seals and a new oil pump plate and seal. I am willing to pay to have this done or barter or buy beverages. I can drive anywhere to do this or we can do this in my garage. Please let me know if you can help. Thanks

Thought about the bay forum but wanted more than just bay owners to see . Might have better luck. I hope. Also, did not think they allowed these topics .

I lived in the Falls back in the 1980s briefly, and in the Akron area from the mid 70s till 1990. All the air cooled shops I knew from back then are gone, with the exception of Elmar at Streetsboro Foreign Auto. I'd give him a call.

I'm in Oregon now, otherwise, I could help you out. how is "Rex's Erection" doing these days? :)

Colin has helped me before and i saw that he will be around in a couple of months. I am hoping to get this done sooner but if not i might have to get on the schedule . Thanks

do you just need another body, or someone who knows what they are doing? i'm on the west side of akron...between 77 and 71 on rt 18. i have never done what you need, but i can usually figure things out. i have a bug-me video...lol.

i joined covvc (central ohio vintage volkswagen club) last month... they recently created a chapter in NE ohio. if you go to http://www.covvc.org/index.html look for the blue ghia on the bottom left where you will see a link to covvc north. contacts are there for members in NE ohio.

I need someone that knows what they are doing. I have tought myself to do several things but not sure if i want to mess with my pushrods-rocker assy. I will have to check that club out. Thanks for the offer i will let you know
