This one has me stumped. This is a centrifical advance distributor, at 1st glance the housing is similar to a Bosch 009 but has early 2pc bolt together points, early condenser, early cap with notch over the points connector and external cap indexing tab. I had a tune up kit for the 383 distributor from my split window..Cap, Points, Condender and all fit perfectly. I don't have a proper new rotor however, an 009 rotor is about the same size but the shaft is slightly smaller so the 009 rotor falls right off.
There are absolutely no markings on it. There was a nearly destroyed small silver decal but all I could make out was "made in the USA"

Well.. I can't tell. Is the distributor body made of aluminum?
Only guessing that maybe it is something from EMPI or one of their competitors from long ago. Almost looks like for industrial use rather than for a VW. |

| True keifernet. I sold one recently. It did not have that old style wire lead bolt though. |

| Glenn's not the only one around who can tell the difference between an 010 and and 019... |

Looks like a Brazilian knockoff but can't tell from here if it's a 010 or 019 copy from these pictures.
I've taken a few of them apart and their quality is not even close to the Bosch. |
