| My 61 was converted to 12 volts with an alternator by previous owner. Everything works great except the wipers. I have the voltage drop on it but my wipers barely work. Should I try and convert the system to a 12volt motor because they move real slow right now. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. |

The first thing is to make sure all of your connections are clean and tight. This is particularly important when you only have 6 volts to work with.
You also may want to check the switch to make sure all of the voltage is coming through.
If you still experience problems you may want to look into a new motor. |

| I took the armature from a 12 volt wiper motor and installed it in my 6 volt assembly. I got lucky and had a 12 motor sitting around and it happened to be the same style. Easy fix and does work great. Dave J |

Great Idea, I am going to try that. Everything on my car works great with 12volts except my wipers, so I will try that. Thanks man. |

| I just went thru this, Heres what I did order the armature From cip 1 or WW as long it is a SWF brand, Takes about 2 minutes to switch them out works great..Just make sure its the SWF to fit...Now taking out the assembly can be a Bear but its worth it..Good luck Oh yeah there about 40.00 |
