Does anyone know the exact size of the bleeder valve?
It's pretty well stuck in there and I need a ratchet with deep sockets to get it loose, but I can't tell which size.
Thanks in advance |

You know.....its really simple to keep this from happening at all. Its the threads in teh caliper/wheel cylinder body that rust together...not the conical sealing face down on the bottom. Simply brush a very light coat of anti-sieze compound onto the threads....not on the sealing face....wipe off any excess with a rag. If you wanted to be extra safe, once the brakes are bled and the bleeder valve closed....rinse out teh valve with a squirt of water, blow it dry with an air hose....takes about 10 seconds .....and for Gods sake put the rubber cap back on. After my first snapped bleeder valve 30 years ago I have never had the problem again...and I have done probably a hundred systems. Ray |
