glad you're feeling better Mike!

Max- I dug around and I don't actually have a single picture showing the elbows I made. I'll be home saturday though (where my car/engine is) and I'll snap one for you.

I see you helped yourself, Max.
:)
What I did on my "over the top" system was to use the Beetle/Type 1 stock factory metal "cylinder" that goes into the Type 1 stock muffler preheat chamber and up to the rear breast plate. That cylinder fits right into the fan shroud outlet on the T3. Even though it's a friction fit, you can mount it with a single sheetmetal screw that is drilled through the T3 shroud. Then you can use the factory T1 black fan shroud hose and the thin Type 1 factory clamps for a close to stock appearance. Yes, the L side does require a tight corner with the hose.

I think I used another pair of those same cylinders that fit into the top of the T3 heater boxes (HB). But you MUST make sure to fasten the cylinder to the HB with 1 or 2 rivets. On my engine I used a single sheetmetal screw which backed out after about 800 miles. That's when the left HB overheated due to lack of cooling air and caused the left head to cook while out in MI back in '03, I think.

Great sound that exhaust makes, right?
