I would like to be sure before ordering. Which is the correct color of the cover for a 1952 chestnut brown split. Canvas or PVC?

a 1952 L73 Chestnut Brown sunroof car has a 73 Chestnut Brown Canvas sunroof cover.
According to Garwoods book. |

When new, the car came with a canvas cover.
But in the late 50īs VW had produced PVC covers even for the early cars, as replacements for used up roofs.
So thatīs why sometimes splits and early ovals are seen with "old" PVC roofs. I once had found a NOS L36 azure blue PVC cover.
But the canvas is the original and looks best anyway. |
