I have a stock 57 oval that id like to drop 2-3 inches. Right now the front is all stock and instead of buying all new stock replacement parts i was thinking of a narrowed beam and spindles to drop it but whats the best way to do it and not spend a fortune doing it. Thank you very much for any help you can send my way.

My advice;
DON'T DO IT.

But if you must and you only want to go a few inches, forget about adjusters and narrow beams and go with drop spindles.

That is the ONLY way to retain the suspension geometry and still have a nice ride.

Once you start with adjusters and narrowing the beam, you need a lot of band aides to try to correct all the things that get out of wack with the suspension geometry.

Yes, what drscope said. But, if you do want to go with a narrowed adjustable beam, buy new and keep the original in case you want to go back to stock. Don't do anything that can't be un-done.

Thats what I want is to go as low as I can with just bolt on stuff. I want to keep all the original so I can put it back or include it if I wiould ever sell the car.

I agree keep your stock parts to return it to stock in the future and dropped spindles are the way to go
Heres what I did on my 57 I kept all my stock suspension I cut down a 60's beam 6" installed adjusters to fine tune the ride height installed 2 1/2" dropped spindles and disk brakes The spindles and brakes add to the track so the wheels are not tucked in real far even with the 6" beam I'm also running empi 5 spokes that set out farther then stock I set the rear down 1 outer click and used sway away adjustable spring plates to fine tune the rear The ride is stiffer then stock but is suprisingly nice and handles well

I also did the 6" beam with adjusters, dropped spindles and disk brakes. Though I am running 17x7.5" Porsche Turbo Twists, I have a pretty good ride. After some fender well lip rolling there is very minimal rubbing. Lowered a couple of notches in the rear too.

Just use the adjusters for fine tuning and you will keep a nice ride.

i did a narrowed beam and have the turning radius of a crop circle lol

pretty simple stuff to put back to stock if you want afterwards
