Hey,
I just installed new bushings in the throttle shafts on my '66 with a 1200cc and a PICT 28 carb. I carb kit has been in it for about a year, but hasn't been on the car expect for a couple of days due to it leaking before.
My question is it normal for the carb to be a little slow to idle down??? It seems to run fine and butterfly isn't sticking. It just takes the car a little a couple-three seconds to idle down.
Is that normal for these early carburetors? :?:
Thanks,

| I would have to say no, not normal behaviour. |

No, my 28 PICT is rebushed/rebuilt and it drops to idle much faster.
No different than any other carb. I have had. |

Hey,
Thanks guys for the responses!!
Well I'll run it for a while and see what I can find out. This is my first time trying to rebush a carb, the don't see where that is causing a problem as the butterfly closes like it should. I might try putting in a new kit... maybe the acc. pump is sticking a little and providing some fuel...
Thanks,
