When I purchased my 73 fasty it already had a GT 4 TIP SPORTS EXHAUST. The exhaust sounds nice and performs well. I however can't stand how the pipes stick out a little far, I am way too anal, thatit drives me crazy everytime I look at it....so I am thinking of making a change.
What will give me a decent sound and good performance. I do not want performance to suffer for something fairly aesthetic....
How's the SINGLE QUIET PACK MUFFLERor the SINGLE GLASS PACK MUFFLER?
What would you run? |

single or dual--single is the best other than O.G Muffler
(wich is a header really)
are MUCH better than the GT 4 tip
the GT 4 Tip doesnt collect all 4 pipes into 1
our cars work better if they all collect in 1 point and have the ability to run concurrently
even if its a Stinger
Go with a single quiet pack
the GT might Sound better to some
but SUCK compared to a single |

| Johnny's Speed & Chrome 1 3/8 header for my sub 2L driver engines. Sounds great and almost completely tucks away behind the apron. You can just see the bottom of the turbo muffler. |

| ISP over the top is the best in my book. Nice sound especially when you step on it and the chrome tip exits nicely at the original location on the apron. Comes bare and ceramic coated I painted mine with high temp black rattle can. |

| I like that "stockitty-stock-stock-stock" sound myself. The OE Type 3 muffler is already basically a header inside, and I like quiet so I can enjoy the voices in my head. |

| Excuse my ignorance, but in order to swap the current 4 tip muffler to a single muffler from CIP1, do I need anything other than the actual muffler? |

| Has anyone knocked off the Johnny's Speed & Chrome exhaust? I really like them but they are long gone right? |

You need the header and the muffler.
