| My question is that i was trying to install a GT steering wheel on my 74 Standard Beetle, and the steering cloumn is to big and i tryed it with the adapter they sell and it does not work. does this mean that i have to change the steering cloumn, any body else have the same problem??? thanks |

Do you have the proper adapter?
Read this thread.
It is my understanding that the columns changed mid-model year in 1974.

Do a search for Grant steering adapters or GT steering adapters. Lots of info on the subject. I think you have the wrong adapter. |
