Last year was cool, lots of fun and we had a great turnout....really hoping that this year is bigger and better!!! Last year Alcedo came up from Atlanta with "Wild Thing" and Smitty was kind enough to bring his bus over for everybody to drool over......I'm curious to see what rolls through the gates this year!!!!

So far it looks like the weather is being friendly with the car shows this year so hopefully it will be another beautiful weekend in East Tennessee for the show!!!

I'm starting up a small business selling air ride kits and custom headlights for vw's. I'd like to do a demonstration at Summer Jam and show people just how easy it is to install, so I'm looking for a volunteer of sorts. If anybody is coming to the show, and wants air ride on the front of their bug or ghia, and would be willing to pull their car into an area then I'll install a full front end kit *at* the show. I'll be giving a huge discount on the price to whoever wants to volunteer!!!!!

If anybody is interested then let me know and we can talk over the details.

email me at: alveridus@juno.com

C'mon...I really need a volunteer for this!!!

I'd like to throw out there that pre-registration is now open on the summerjam website. I'm registered and looking forward to the show now. www.summerjamvw.com

Last year was a blast! I can't wait to get my Thing out in public again!! ;)
Camping is always fun, as long as the guiser stays under control!

I'm planning on going to the show this year & have my 65 dune buggy almost complete BUT I'm in need of a windshield. I was planning on ordering one online but I'm wondering if there would be a vendor at the show that sells more regional than what I'm finding on the net. I don't mind paying shipping but a lot of sites have disclosure about breakage. Anyone know of vendors that will be at show or a local vendor in this region?

TEk,
Check with Larrys Speed Shop in Harriman, TN.. He does a Lot of buggy stuff, and may have one in stock! Not sure about any vendors around...Not sure of who will be there either, vender wise...

Good luck!
It'll be great to see your buggy out there!

Everybody, just a little update. We've seen a big uptick in vendors registering for the show. If you need a part or need to sell a part, things are coming together for a good scene. There is still time to pre-register on the website. SUMMER JAM 2010 IS NEXT WEEKEND!!!!

We want to see all of the VW's in the area at this show. Watercooled car people too!!!!

I registered my new 1960 Bug for the show.
I've been without a VW for almost a year now and I have been away from the VW scene for a few years. Looking forward to getting back into the world of Volks Folks.
Gonna be looking for some items at the swap meet/vendors area.
Manuals, original vent wing door stuff, trunk liner, engine tin, wiper arms/blades, '67 12-volt 2-speed SMF wiper motor and 2-speed switch, floor mats, original jack/tools, spare wheel...... goodies and more goodies. Woo-Hoo!

How does this event compare to Circle Yer Wagons? More or less vendors/swap?

I'll try this one...:
MUCH more room, Better layout, Compared to CYW-Slightly less vendors last year(1st year), sounds to be equal this year(?), A few more activities(maybe?), Equally cool folks and volks!
Come on out, have a blast!

Anyone else care to chime in?
