How can I tell which arm goes on which side (facing up where its supposed to)?

Is there an easy identifying factor?

They point towards the rear of the car and the one with the shock stud goes on the bottom. Look for the part numbers - if the last digit is an odd number it's for the left, even number is for the right.

gotcha - I knew the studded ones go on the bottom. Hopefully I can read the part number through the powdercoating.

while this is a true statement, in instances where the parts are interchangeable from left to right, they end in an odd number.
trailing arms are interchangeable from side to side, so don't waste your time trying to figure out the part numbers, because both uppers will have the same number, and both lowers will have the same number.
just put the ones with the studs on the bottom and the ones without on the top.
