Nice Westy, wonderful story and photos.
BTW, don't paint the pop top, just re-glass/resin it. I have a bit of information on doing this in my thread on restoring my 68 Westy. It takes about as much time as painting, but it makes the top really pop! I think it is all on the first page.

The highest altitude we reached was Satus pass @3107 ft., but there was no place for a picture. |
