| I will most likely be doing a frame swap. I am wondering what frame year(s) will I be able to use other than '73? I know some have been able to use a standard beetle frame with some modifications, but I don't think I am willing to do that. |

| you could use any SB pan for the car. To use a standard pan would not make sense as the entire frame head is different. You would be better off to replace your frame head and floor pans. |

| There isn't any difference between a manual trans and automatic trans chassis, correct? |

| I think from '71 or '72 on all pans had the clutch tube whether it ended up an AS or manual...so yeah, they should be the same. |
