Well I was putting in a new master cyclinder and I must had allowed the clutch pedal to fall and the cable disconnected. So I went to remove the 16mm bolt 1/2 and it broke...CRAP....so has anyone ever cheated and drilled a hole on the passenger side to reinstall a clutch cable? Its a baja so its not a huge biggie...any ideas?

yes.....a hole would be clean. what i have and a lot of people do is cut out 3 sides of a square , about 5" x 5" and then bend the metal down and then bend it back up after your done. I know there are some pictures on the samba somewhere

will your pedal stay on if you don't fix the bolt?

That is a great idea. That is what I will do. Depending on what that bolt is threaded into I will put another bolt on or just use the 1 16mm on the other side.

i would not rely on one bolt for that there is a lot of pressure there and its extremely important , fix the bolt install the clutch cable normal and skip the hole

is the bolt head broken off or stripped?
